Odyssey Assessments evaluate student performance, diagnose strengths and weaknesses, and prescribe specific instruction. An assessment is a basis for measuring the skill, knowledge, intelligence, capabilities, or aptitudes of a student. An objective‐based test is an assessment that evaluates each objective against the passing score to diagnose a student’s strengths and weaknesses. The online assessment tool delivers assessments for K‐8 reading/language arts and math, GED, or College Readiness. It diagnoses and provides immediate feedback on student progress toward mastery of objectives and then automatically prescribes the appropriate learning path containing learning activities for remediation, reinforcement, and enrichment. Students are automatically assigned activities related to the objectives they did not master.

If you would like the assessments followed by a learning path to replace your math or language arts course, specify it on your registrations form. This is recommended for remedial students. If a student is at a certain grade level, it's best to do the regular course.
